Hello Everyone,
I just finished listening to the morning session of the Senate Judiciary hearing. It was Riveting. Much more to come there. After I send this email I'm going down to a rally outside the Supreme Court.
Last night I stayed up very late putting together two videos. They're quite amateur and far from perfect but should show you some things you likely didn't see in the news.
The president spoke to a group on Saturday - the first since his COVID diagnosis and hospitalization. On Friday night I couldn't find out who the group was or when it was happening so I just went out to see. On approaching the White House area I saw many people heading to the South Lawn. Blexit. Who are these people?? I did not know but was about to learn. This group held a rally with speakers, had pizza, and then queued up to go to the White House to hear Trump speak. I kept my distance enmasked and observed.
There was another group on the street - Sions Rose - a religious group - mostly Christian but with Jewish influence as well. They were preparing for a parade. I listened to them for a while. They attempted to convert me.
After Trump's speech the large group of Blexit people also marched around. At one point these two groups crossed paths. When I saw this I marveled at the amazing multi-cultural nature of our country. The Blexit people had the sophisticated (and expensive?) technical ability to live stream their entire day. Here are the *very long* videos:

Yesterday in my wanderings I happened across a large mural of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Below it were many flowers and written testimonials.
Here is my video of Blexit and Sions Rose (7 minutes):
And here is the RBG video (3 minutes):
Be well. Stay safe.

P.S.
I've had some great meals at two local vegan restaurants. NU Vegan and Shouk.
I finished constructing the sign I will carry around the White House. I have not yet finalized what message to put on the sign. One side will certainly say "Peaceful Transfer" in many colors.
Making the sign entailed trips to Home Depot and Target in the suburbs (via subway and long walks):
There are 4 pieces of foam board. That makes for 8 sides on which I can put messages. Are you wondering how without access to a wood shop how I was able to drill the holes for the bolt that holds it all together?
With a lithium battery powered drill that I bought at Home Depot, of course. :)
