Hello Everybody,
I'm now sitting in Logan Circle Park in Washington D.C.. It's a short walk from the U Street hostel where I'm staying. Walking down 13th St I enjoyed seeing the beautiful 3-story townhouses and I wondered who lives in them and what their work is. The park is peopled (mostly enmasked) by all sorts - dog walkers, picnickers, bicyclists, joggers, parents with children, pigeons, even a sunbather. Who was Logan?
Yesterday was an exhausting day. Flying in from Denver I arrived at noon and made my way on the Metro to the hostel. Reading the news on my phone I saw that President Trump would be returning from the hospital at 6:30 pm.
As I do when at home I follow the news mostly by tracking:
With Trump returning at 6:30 I decided that I would have a short rest, have some dinner (vegan fare from the nearby Trader Joe's), and take a long walk. I ended up doing a circumnavigation of the White House (at a large radius) and the Washington Monument. Here's a 4 minute collage-type video of what I experienced:
I didn't have a sign as I walked but I did write this on a piece of paper I kept in my pocket:
Welcome Back Get Well Soon Thank you. We Love You. Do us a favor, though. RESIGN
Tomorrow will be a very consequential vice-presidential debate. Here's a good summary of what's at stake:
